Our
comprehensive selection system is designed to identify both what
an employee has done in their work history as well as what an employee
would like to do. In addition, we find out objectively from previous
employment references if an employee is a dependable worker.
First Visit
During the initial visit, we want
to find out as much as we can about an applicant without consuming
too much of their time. We obtain a completed application, conduct
a brief interview and find out what type of work the candidate is
qualified or interested in doing. We also conduct an orientation
in which we encourage our employees to call-in to us daily. Requiring
daily check-in gives a clear indication of how seriously they want
to work and how dependable they are likely to be when we assign
them to a position.
Second Interview and Employment
Paperwork
When we have identified an ideal placement
for an applicant, we schedule them to return to the office for a
more in-depth interview tailored specifically to the needs of your
job assignment. During this second visit, we will also ask the applicant
to complete the full employment packet including proof of eligibility
to work. An added benefit of asking the applicant to come back to
the office for the second time is that they are further proving
their dependability. If they completed an initial application, consistently
called-in available to the office, and returned for yet another
visit and interview, we can feel reasonably confident that they
will show-up to your job site when scheduled.
Employment Reference Check
Checking references is an important
way to find out objectively if a candidate for employment has provided
accurate information on their application. We verify position titles,
dates of employment, rates of pay, and eligibility for rehire as
well as performance information on such areas as reliability, punctuality,
work attitude, and following instructions. We are sincerely interested
in the feedback of the references we contact, so we always make
personal phone calls rather than soliciting written information
through the mail.
Customized Selection Systems
To respond to the unique requirements
of each customer, InStaff Personnel has a wide range of testing
options available for specific job classifications. At times, testing
can provide the most objective predictor of success on the job
Optional Background Investigations
Through a partnership with a national
background check service, we are equipped to conduct a variety of
investigations including:
- Employment History Verification
- Review of Criminal Conviction History
- Review of Department of Motor Vehicle
Records
- Educational Record Verification
- Consumer Credit Check
- Drug Screening
We coordinate these investigations
as a convenience to you for a nominal charge that simply covers
the cost of the check. As an added benefit, you will only be billed
for those employees who successfully meet the minimum requirements
and become temporary employees assigned to your job site.
